Winter Park RV Adventure: Embrace Nature, Culture, and Charm

As Spring settled in, we embarked on a delightful RV adventure to Winter Park, Florida. Known for its picturesque scenery, rich history, and vibrant cultural scene, Winter Park proved to be the perfect destination for our short getaway. We set up camp at Magnolia Park Campground in Apopka, just a short drive away from the heart of Winter Park.

Campground at Magnolia Park

Our home away from home, Magnolia Park Campground, nestled in the serene town of Apopka, provided a tranquil setting for our stay. The campground offered spacious sites surrounded by lush greenery, bike paths and nature trails creating a peaceful atmosphere. However, it’s worth noting that this time of year, the campground was accompanied by a not-so-welcome guest—the ever-present mosquitoes. Be sure to pack bug spray to ward off these pesky critters and make your stay more enjoyable. On the bright side, the campground was also frequented by majestic peacocks, adding a touch of natural beauty to our outdoor experience.

This charming restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, with its cozy interior and outdoor seating area. The menu boasts a variety of mouthwatering brunch options, from fluffy pancakes and hearty omelets to savory benedicts and refreshing smoothies. We savored every bite, delighting in the delectable flavors and the friendly service.

After brunch, we decided to explore the vibrant downtown area of Winter Park. Our first stop was Rocket Fizz, a delightful store that specializes in nostalgic candies, quirky gifts, and a wide selection of unique sodas. We spent quite a while perusing the shelves, reminiscing about our favorite childhood treats and discovering new flavors we had never encountered before.

As the afternoon rolled around, we found ourselves in need of a cozy refuge to relax and unwind. That’s when we stumbled upon Bonsai Tea, a charming tea shop nestled in the heart of Winter Park. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a tranquil ambiance. The owner, Shay, greeted us with a warm smile and a passion for tea that was contagious.

We settled into a cozy corner, surrounded by shelves adorned with unique Moroccan pillows and teas from around the world. Shay guided us through the menu, sharing her expertise and recommendations. We decided on a fragrant green tea and a soothing herbal blend. As we sipped our teas, we couldn’t help but be enchanted by the flavors and the care with which they were prepared.

What truly made our visit to Bonsai Tea memorable was the genuine hospitality of Shay. She took the time to engage in conversation, sharing stories and insights about tea culture. Her warmth and genuine passion for creating a welcoming space made our tea time a truly unforgettable experience.
